Most of the time, there are several different things we want, but are mutually exclusive.  For example, we may want the best of something, but also the cheapest.  Or we want the fastest possible solution to a problem but it also needs to be the BEST one possible.  You can see the problem here.

That is where balance comes in.  Somewhere between the two opposites is that 'sweet spot' where a little of both coexists, with most of the most important one, without giving away too much.

There is actually a way to systematically achieve this balance, with very little work OR risk.
