One of the most basic of our human needs is to feel connected.  Family, friends, community are all different ways we connect with others.  Unfortunately, in all the commotion, we often lost our connection with the different aspects of our selves.

Our relationships are ongoing ways we continue to meet different needs of different parts of our selves. Not surprisingly, we have three basic kinds of connections:

  1. internal - includes values, goals, desires, and personal faith (you are the key to all other relationships working)
  2. personal - includes our partner, parents, children, families of all kinds, even BFFs; others we can truly count on (and vice versa)
  3. social - includes work, faith, community, common interests, and interdependence )all the things that we need to work out, to get by, belong, and create in the world)
